Nothing is for Free?

NDPW  |  Your Source For Passive Income Opportunities

Is it true that nothing in life is free?  Let's explore some situations where we might dispel the myth and other situations that will prove the old adage correct.

Find What You Need for Nearly Free

It’s been said that money doesn’t grow on trees, but with the rising cost of most products today that phrase has reached the point of becoming an understatement. Consumers have taken to looking for deals where they can find them, but if you don’t know where to look then those deals can be hard to come by. This doesn’t mean that there aren’t places where you can get the things that you need without having to pay a small fortune for them… with a bit of patience and comparison shopping, you can often locate exactly what you’re looking for and save quite a bit of money over what you would pay at retail. What’s more, with many items you can actually find them for free or nearly free so long as you take the time to shop around in the right places.

Can You Really Get Things for Nearly Free?

Though it may seem strange to think that you can find items such as clothes, furniture, and even electronics or computer supplies for free or nearly free, there are actually a number of options that may be available to you so that you can do just that. You can locate a number of free and nearly free items at various locations and shopping outlets that might be local to you, and there are several places online where you can connect with others who have items that they want to get rid of while unloading some of the things which you have that you no longer have a need for as well. As an added bonus, by using the same outlets that you find for free and nearly free items as a means of reducing your own clutter and removing unwanted furniture, clothes, and other things from your life you can help others find what they’re looking for at little or no cost while reducing the amount of waste that ends up in landfills.

Places to Look Locally

There are a number of stores in your local area which may deal in various consignment items, factory seconds, or other thrift items that you can purchase for next to nothing. If you have them in your city, you might also want to check into swap meets or community flea markets, as many of these events will feature low-cost goods and you may even be able to find an even trade on some of the items that you no longer want. With any of these options you will often be able to find significant discounts on name-brand clothing and other items, and in the case of thrift and goodwill stores you may be able to pay only a dollar or two for things that originally cost one hundred dollars or more. Another advantage of thrift shopping is that it keeps the items that you purchase from ending up in landfills or dumped on private property, and in many cases the money that is raised by thrift items will go toward charities or certain community service organizations in your area.

Places to Look Online

Finding what you want for free or nearly free doesn’t have to be restricted to local shopping; a number of websites and online communities have been established for the sole purpose of encouraging the free trade or low-cost sale of a variety of goods. Try visiting sites such as http://www.freecycle.org  or http://www.freemesa.org  and see what’s available in your area… you may be able to make the connection that you need to find what you want with little or no cost to you.
